James Joyce’s schema for Ulysses.

Thanks, Professor John Bishop, for walking me through the novel all those years ago at Berkeley. I still remember you rapping the “Sirens” chapter in order to show us that it’s written in a 4/4 time signature…and then ending by awkwardly striking a pose (arms crossed across your chest) and saying, with your dead affect, “We be Dublin.”
